Chairman CHEN, WEI-LONG first talked about the current status of the operation of autonomous vehicles in the world and talked about the company's current experience in the ongoing night self-driving bus test on Xinyi Road in Taipei City.
Chairman CHEN, WEI-LONG explained the role of Taiwan Smart Driving Company in the overall self-driving operation process and pointed out that in addition to self-driving buses, the company is also actively developing other types of self-driving vehicles, such as golf carts. In addition, Chairman CHEN, WEI-LONG pointed out that although the current self-driving car industry is still dominated by corporate customers, it must be popularized so that the general public can also enjoy its convenience.
Finally, Chairman CHEN, WEI-LONG raised the current ethical issues facing self-driving cars, such as the solution to the problem of trams and how to solve the ethical and legal issues that have not yet been finalized, such as the solution to the problem of other vehicles parking illegally and obstructing the passage of the lane. These ethical issues are beyond the technical level and are worthy of discussion and development in the legal system.
